Calm down. Good grief some people need cool down a bit.

I'm just saying that if someone said 'here is a packet of cash that you can either spend on local transport infrastructure or a high speed rail link for second home owners' I know what I'd choose. But if we can have both alls the better.

But that was never an issue FlB. Network Rail neither inferred nor stated that it was either high speed or local services.

In which case you've simply hypothesised out of context with the point. Cornwall could get a high speed rail link. So far there is no choice between that and something else, be it a new limo for David Whalley or a new fleet of buses etc.

Likewise, Network Rail haven't indicated any new local services for Cornwall.

They just announced they are considering building a new high speed rail link. Why do you insist on making distractive assumptions? Please don't ever stand for election to a council, you'll be one of those idiots that just prattles on about crap while everyone fidgets and wants to throw you out of the window.

icon_lol had a bit to drink have we? I'd love to know who you are, I get the feeling we've met? You really need to learn the difference between a chat room and a council meeting though.

I know, I was just thinking out loud, its what people do on forums like this.

Good, I hope you're right.

FLB, I think you will find people on here inordinately argumentative, often about trivia, it's the weather at the moment doing it icon_lol

lucy_ellisFULUB LE BRETON ARE YOU TRULY INSANE?

Did the Network Rail proposals proclaim: 'CORNWALL TO GET NEW HIGH SPEED RAIL LINK TO LONDON BUT ABSOLUTLEY NO OTHER INVESTMENT IN LOCAL TRANSPORT'?

No it didn't!!!!

So if Cornwall builds itself a new university does that mean it won't build a new harbour for the fisherman? Of course not.

Why do you assume that getting a high speed rail link will mean it's at the expense of other tranpsort projects?

I have a feeling she doesn't like you very much Fulub icon_lol
She also seems not to allow you any slack unless you describe yourself in detail and in full.
You should learn from this mistake... bad FlB!

There does seem to be an anti-FLB league at times. Eurosceptics, 9/11 wackos, the far right, Lib Dumbers etc.

I know I'm out spoken and perhaps I haven't made any friends but then again I never set out to.
