Well done Darren and co for getting C24 up and running again.

Good to see you back.

Thank you Troll, but I suspect that Darren is no longer involved now as he works for the other place.
I think this new site is run by a charity or something.
It's all a bit mysterious how it all suddenly reappeared like this.

I'm sure there's no money involved but I wouldn't say it was run by a charity. The sponsor logos currently only reflect in kind contributions for time and effort.
I think the idea is it is run by it's users.

One thing is for sure, it definitely isn't run by the Daily Mail (Northcliff media) like certain other "Cornish" sites!

Basically, the new Cornwall24 is an interactive news and message portal.
Anybody who has any Cornish news can place it on this site. Of course, we'll have to look at it first to make sure there are no obscene or legally threatening elements to the content - but generally most posts will go up.
We're still owrking on the sections and categories for the posts. Some news might be entertainment related, other items might be breaking news.
The site at present is joint effort between a-connect.com - one of Cornwall's leading internet consultancies - and Pentreath Ltd, a mental health charity helping provide employment for people with, or recovering from, mental ill health.
The link? a-connect administers a lot of current Cornish online websites and Pentreath runs Cornish World magazine so there is some crossover of skills, content and editorial.
We're open to ideas and suggestions and we're trying to entice those people back to this forum who used to visit here many moons ago.
So anybody with an interest in Cornwall or Cornish affairs can read and post news or events on this site as well as use this forum for discussion and debate.
I hope this answers some questions.

Cornwall24 seems like a good idea, but I'm not too sure how I get my own news up on the site.
Can anyone help me here?

Simon, submitting news is easy!
Click the submit news button, enter the headline, select a topic from the list (not required) and enter your story.
This will then enter the news submitted queue and will be reviewed by the editor before being posted.
