I thought St Michael's Mount as well. But I could not find any picture that showed a spire like that. I looked at as many piccies of the Restormel as possible and still couldn't find a spire like that.
Though I may have just not seen good pictures of these places.
Being a black and white photo, I was wondering if it was a spire that now no longer exists.
Are there any famous historic sites in Cornwall that were badly damaged in WWII or by some natural disaster? (That would be a bugger to locate! )

Rogers' Tower is up at Castle-an-Dinas and is the place in the pic from Hen. 18th century and on the site of an ancient hill fort. Well worth having a wander around there on a Sunday afternoon
