Yes here's another that will be shouting in support of Cymru/Kembry/Wales this afternoon (despite stroppy being a "cymro"). I'll be cheering for France when they play England and I'll be cheering on Italy when they play either of those two teams.
Just goes to emphasise that BBC journalist and presenters in Cornwall should drop the use of "we" (i.e. suggesting they are taking for granted everyone listening is an England supporter like them). In particular BBC Radio Cornwall staff should remember the "British" part of their organisations name when discussing any kind of UK sporting event. They shouldn't assume that many Cornish people don't support other British teams. I know this has been said by others on numerous occasions, but there's no harm in regularly reminding them.
Half time and the score lies at Ireland 10 - 10 Italy. What a match, Italy deserves to be in the lead as they have been playing superbly. Their defence is very strong as are the forwards and the backs are playing a good flowing game.
All in all, Ireland are finding it very difficult to break through the Italian defence. The Italians spent the first 20 minutes of the game camped in the Irish half and were very difficult to have their defence broken, Ireland have really got a game on here.
Sorry but I think you are wrong to say we don't support England against Wales. Where I watched the match yesterday along with about 50 others, mostly Cornish, there were only two supporting Wales.
Argee Kenwyn. I can't think of any one of my mates who are Cornish that wouldn't support England. My dad and granddad who were both Cornish to the core and passionately supported England at any sport as do I. The likes of Ian CJ and AndyQ are in a very small minority.
My family were Cornish to the core (whatever it means) and they supported England, but I've given them the facts not the myths and they're slowly changing. They were brought up under an education system that gave them a false or at least an anglocentric view of their history. It don't mean anything fancybrew if you're not given the facts and allowed to then choose what you want to be.
WELL DONE SCOTLAND - NOW TROUNCE ENGLAND AT MURRAYFIELD PLEASE!!!!
