A bit of mutual campaign support here:
STM!

Green open recreational space is in very short supply in St Ives, and an active campaign has recently been launched to save Ayr Field from the threat of car parking. Please sign the petition and add your voice to the cause.

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION NOW!
I sign this petition in support of the 'Ayr Field Community Group' and the following statement.

PETITION STATEMENT
I am concerned that 'Cornwall County Council', the owners of Ayr Field, St. Ives, have been misguided in using this valuable community asset as a car park and building compound. This non recreational use of the field has deprived children and the community of a much needed open space. I request that Cornwall County Council support and implement the following actions for the benefit of the local community:

- Ayr Field, St. Ives is not to be placed out to tender for use as a car park in 2006, nor any other year.

- All building equipment and stored materials be remove as soon as possible.

- The field is to be reinstated in full to its pre car parking use. Requiring the removal of all waste materials, rubble, land contaminated toxins and rubbish.

- The tarmac road, and all associated structural and non structural works of car parking and building compound to be removed.

- The field to be made fit, safe and re-seeded with grass as necessary.

- Rights of access, perimeter hedging and access points reinstated and made good.

- Clear legal documentation put in place to safeguard the field for future generations use in the town of St. Ives.
