Gugh Bar beach

looking back across "The Bar" from the Gugh end towards St Agnes on the Isles of Scilly. The beach here is what is technically termed a tombolo and joins the islands of Gugh and St Agnes all the time except high tides. What you can't tell from this photo is that there is sea on the other side of the beach (to the right as well). It's the most popular beach on the island and a great place for kids, but swimming is dangerous if the bar is submerged.
