Re: Breton vs Cornsih

"How were the majority of LC speakers any more illiterate than the majority of MC speakers?" I dunno , you tell me, and we know what LC grammar was because it was recorded by literates, (scholars ), we also do not know what corrections they made as they went along, did they correct mistakes or perce...

Re: Breton vs Cornsih

"if they could write Cornish, then how were they illiterate?" They could /? then where is all the evidence,? we have a few works written by a few people, some of who were none speakers . Not sure of the number of speakers during the latter times, but if they could all write Cornish, we should have a...

Re: Bardhas Eglynyon

Most native cornish speakers could not even write, so what is your point if they used <hw> or <wh> or just <w>, that is not a valid argument, you are not a native speaker neither , neither am I or most on this forum. What is your hangup with this, you are welcome to us the SWF/T or LC cornish versio...

Re: Breton vs Cornsih

Please explain the artificial change ? what is different about KK and the revived Cornish of Nance or Smith? you could say LC is just as artificial as there is not enough material to base a language on, so they have to use English words or dialect words,or go back to MC, and use the simplified gramm...

Re: Bardhas Eglynyon

Oh before I retire for the night, explain what you mean by 700 years of Cornish Orthographical practice, I was unaware that Cornish had a single orthography for 700 years, have you read the original texts form the Middle period to the Late period.???
are they all in the same orthography ??

Re: Bardhas Eglynyon

Actually there is no rule it is just etiquette, it is like bursting in on a conversation that two people are having and changing the subject, regarding your theory on the Bretonization of Cornish, I suppose everyone is to blame from Nance onwards , as KK was just continuing the grammar of revised Co...

Re: Anturiaethau Alys yng Ngwlad Hud (Alice in Welsh)

Why would Tim publish his own material, NJW does not publish his own material either , most writers do not publish their own material . Your argument does not make sense .
