Re: Make Cornwall Visable
The Guardian cannot expect to have a serious discussion about national identity in the UK without being honest about the ethnic and national make-up of these isles. It's likely that Cornish identity is just off the radar for the metropolitan types that run the Guardian, but it's never too late to en...

Re: BBC Cornwall interview about An Beybel Sans
This is slightly different, a course book teaching a particular type of Cornish is one thing, a Bible is a whole 'nother. What's the point of having two bibles, both in the same language? If I was in the KK bible project I'd be feeling that my years of work are pretty superfluous now. I'm sure there...

Re: BBC Cornwall interview about An Beybel Sans
Because it's not the 16th Century any more. People who believe that this Bible is going to initiate a sea-change in the fortunes of the Cornish language are, quite frankly, living in a fantasy. It's fantastic that it's been done (despite it being part of yet another inter-orthographic competition), ...

Re: MAGA conference
Perhaps the judge in question is not fully acquainted with the SWF's variants. But I still do not see why the orthography should matter, since the 2011 winner was Keskowsow Istorek ha Keskowsow by John Parker, which is in KK.

Re: MAGA conference
When Marhak, true to form, takes pot-shots at the organisations and people in them that are working hard for the language, while he sits back and, in his own words, 'doesn't bother'... yes , Evertype. And you, true to form, hit back with snideness and crass hyperbole. You don't have the high ground...

Re: Impeach the Duke
There is a long tradition in this country of writing new laws and just ignoring old ones. The prime example is ignoring Cornwall's constitutional status as set down in law and treating it as an English county. This is a feature of the whole legal and political system of the UK - there being no writt...

Re: The Duchies in a republic
A good chance to set both of the above stright for our constitutional experts. If somebody could write a comprehensive response to both Republic and the Monarchist above I might be able to get it featured on the Republic website. Any takers? Unfortunately I do not know enough about the situation to...

Re: Keep Cornwall Whole - The next round!
What I don't understand is why MK is a social democratic party, when Cornwall is traditionally a liberal heartland. If I was leader of MK I would push the party in a more liberal direction and go after the Lib Dem vote, which is the only real left-of-centre option in Cornwall. But being ignorant of ...
