Re: Stunned and Saddened.

As a Cornishman, I would just like to say how much I appreciate the comments from Srule, Graham and Marhak. Over the years I’ve been involved in a very minor way into promoting Cornish identity/culture and there is no doubt that great strides have been made. However, we must remain on our guard agai...

Re: More from Kremlin Kernow

Yes, and pandering to the English bigotted incommers that wish to bannish any form of Cornish identity. Perhaps we should have a thread called Kremlin Kernow: English Bigot Watch! Here's another example of English bigots. This time in the form of the destestable Jeremy Clarkson who calls to abolish ...

Re: More from Kremlin Kernow

Tory "Cornish"? Councillor Morwenna Williams must be one of the most anti-Cornish councillors at Kremlin Kernow. 'Loathsome' is a polite way of describing her. From her website: “A good examaple of this was when the press were present at a Cabinet meeting towards the end of 2009 and I contributed to...

Re: Cornish National Minority Report

If anything's likely to sway a positive result, the "forward-looking" bit will do it. We get people like Keith and a few others accusing us looking back to a romantic past, but they just don't get it. We need to have the fullest knowledge of that past. The Cornish have 6,000 years of experience to ...

Re: Mining Tourism/Museums

I read somewhere that this "Heartlands" was originally named Penhallick or Pennhelik, in fact I think it was in one of your books Craig. It's a disgrace that our cultural place names are be replaced with English versions. Heartlands has teamed up with Radio Anywhere to ask it's listener to name two ...

Re: Cornish Forum history, the quest for revenge

Summed it all up very well Carbilly, I agreed 100% with what you say. I've never been a prolific poster but I've had enough of the Trolling. In fact this site can be likened to Kernow; too many English people - or those who describe themselves as English - forcing it to become an Anglophile site. So...

Re: Cornish Forum history, the quest for revenge

Yes, yes, another troll bites the dust. Woolly and no content at all. A few probes and they are away, like the proverbial s--- off a shovel. I agree with you Mike - another Troll bites the dust. The fact that TPS tried to drag you and P_Trembath down to the levels the agitators, convinced me of ano...

Re: The Cornish Pirates - On Missionary Work

'The spirit of Cornishness expressed through rugby' That's exactly what it's about, Marhak. Cornish supporters were the only ones capable of nearly filling Twickenham for the Country finals. It was the Cornish v England - that's where the passion came from. The saying was 'Would the last person to c...

Re: The Cornish Pirates - On Missionary Work

Played prop years ago and I've ended up at the bottom of a ruck on one or two occasions, and probably as near to a 'missionary position' as you can have on a rugby field, Marhak. :) Unlike the round ball where they go down and roll over on anything - nothing personal Graham. ;) Going up 'Druth on Sa...

Re: The Cornish Pirates - On Missionary Work

Proper job boys. The Welsh forwards gave us problems. And LW were quickly into our back line to stop them playing. Not many have managed to contain us at the Mennaye, so all credit to LW. Like you say, twas a nervy last quater and had to have a few pints after the game. Too many really as I'd forgot...

Re: The Cornish Pirates - On Missionary Work

I did, tean. But as I had deleted my FB account my conscience is clear, and feel that it's a matter for the Pirates and those who wish to continue using their own FB account. Also, the Pirates were not going to close their FB page for one person. So I've made my choice. Hope to see some of you at th...
