Re: Second "Homes"

There a lot of second homes in Cornwall but a bigger problem is the number of homes being bought to turn into a business i.e. holiday lets. Both combined means that in many places like St Ives three quarters or more of the older housing stock is currently out of reach of Cornish people.

Re: The Cornish Pirates - On Missionary Work

A bit messy at times, but could be expected with the weather. Good second half and nail biting last quarter or so. Tickets for the 11th all booked.

Re: Facebook Supports Anti-Cornish Remarks!

Yes agree Graham. Apart from Irish jokes there's the Essex girl ones, Welsh ones and jokes about blondes. There's more urgent issues to get hot under the collar over!

Re: Facebook Supports Anti-Cornish Remarks!

Must somewhat agree a little with 'Trevorpen' on this one. Just like to add I can't see the point in drawing even more attention to a few silly little morons childish capers on facebook. We've also seen recently similar sick individuals who have started a facebook page to get kicks from denigrating ...

Re: Join the campaign of Cornish resistance

Seems people are totally confused on the issue. Voting 'Yes' is a kind of like voting for the best of two evils, voting 'No' can be used by the 'No' mob to say you don't want the current system changed and voting either 'Yes' or 'No' is to me like agreeing that Cornish integrity is of no importance ...

World Cup and Cornish Flag

Keeping to a positive stance over the world cup and the current flying/selling of flags other than St Pirans. I would like to congratulate at least two shops in Redruth for their display of the Cornish Flag when there are probably many pressures to follow the herd. These shops are the Boesti cafe in...

Obviously the British and Irish cup is not of major importance as couldn't find it on any of Sky Sports drop-down lists.

<t>"Dick Cole is in with a very good chance" – not trying to spike hopes and excitement, but Dick is in with a very good chance of obtaining a relatively high number of votes. In itself that's a very good reason for the people in his constituency to vote Dick Cole and Mebyon Kernow, because that in ...

<t>Yes I noticed the same thing. Spent some time looking for a method to offer news months ago, but gave up in the end. Pity really because if you go to the front page of a web site and there's not even one fairly current news item you tend not to visit very much after that.  Probably C24 team very ...

Still waiting to see what plans the Tory/Indie led Cornwall Council have for the Wescotts Quay day centre site. Wouldn't trust the Tories to sell it off to a developer and put the cash into that carbuncle over at Portmeor.
