Well a good start 66-8 win over Oxfordshire is followed up by a 31-26 defeat at Hertfordshire, so all to play for at Camborne next saturday against eastern Counties. Big support called for to cheer the boys on.

The paltry crowd at Camborne said it all 300-400. The CRFU are still burying their heads in the sand as evidenced by their President's recent comments about the Cornish Pirates and Redruth clubs!!!

Whilst in Brittany last month the front page of one of the local dailies "Le Telegramme" ran a story about the "English" setting up cricket teams and trying to get a local league going!!

Enough to make any self-respecting Breton throw his boules away in anger!!!

It's the second division of the County Championship, if we had lost we would have ended up in the Plate, the third tier!!!

Slight modification to the score should read 60-22.

Cornwall drew their second County Shield game this afternoon at Chinnor with Oxfordshire 22-22 to give themselves a fighting chance of staying in the Shield for next season if they beat Surrey next Satuday at Camborne.

Indeed the pamphlet by John Gay was written some 3/4 years ago when there were hopes of arranging a rugby match between Cornwall and Brittany, lets just say that the powers that be in Cornwall dragged their heels over the affair. Rugby has moved on since then.
