Re: Plans for £35m shopping park in Hayle submitted to Cornw

Look forward to seeing the actual plans and hearing from the relevant agencies as to whether the developer has proposed enough to counter the challenges of the site, which caused it to be turned down for development in 2011.

Re: Cornwall Council Sitting on £30 Million.

Reserves, and there are different types of reserves for different branches of services supplied by Cornwall Council. I do not know what the current levels are but in 2011 a freedom of Information reply to someone showed reserves considerably in excess of £30million.

Re: Will UKIP score in Cornwall?

Five families own ALL the media in the western world. Murdoch is probably the biggest of them all. And yes, it proves that Farage and his UKIP is no different to any of the other so-called Party's. AHA!! Not quite ALL the media.... The "Hayle Pump" is still independent!!!! http://www.haylepump.org....

Re: Common Law.

Oh my goodness. I'm sorry Graham, to promote this babbling misguided American woman who quite literally tells us nothing concrete as a "fantastic interview" tends to suggest you have lost your grip somewhat. I am sorry you believe all this stuff and have gone down this road. To be brutally frank, al...

Re: Common Law.

What an interesting thread! I am pretty sure that Common Law existed for at least a couple of hundred years before Magna Carta so I look askance at Graham's assertion that Magna Carta is the source of Common Law, it so clearly is not. Frankly I believe that all the "Freeman" stuff is from people mis...

Re: Cornwall Chemtrail Spraying.

Just out of interest, (and I am not a subscriber to 'chemtrails' ) The concentration of jet plane tracks to be seen over West Cornwall is largely down to the set air routes commercial aircraft have to stick to. Many of the routes fly directly over the Civil Aviation Authority beacon on Tregerest Hil...

Re: Mebyon Kernow feedback wanted

For me, it's a matter of concern that Conan says MK is "working hard to try and reduce the growth levels that Cornwall Council will implement" As far as I can see it is not with any wicked intent that Cornwall Council have set provisional future levels, BUT they have quite properly looked at project...

I dont know about Camborne, but in Hayle the Food Bank volunteers include our two Labour councilors, who, i think were the ones who set it up.

Re: Mebyon Kernow feedback wanted

To be frank, it's "Mayor Choosing season" and in the main of interest mainly to the people of each town. I don't think I've ever seen more than a report in the local paper... would you say it was TV worthy, honestly?

Yes it says that in the blurb on the website somewhere.. shame I just found it today, missed yesterday's events and am already committed today.. I hadn't seen this advertised anywhere (The Cornish Curse, ...poor marketing!) Graham.

34th International Mining Games

Well I never, I simply didn't know these old mining games were still going, much less that they were "International" and being held here for the first time.....

Re: PROGRESS!

As Coady's signature says: "We live in interesting times". Extraordinary I would say. Get rid of the 1% and Cornwall is ours, along with the freedom that is everyone's birthright. Crikey! First time here for ages and I see my 'signature' is being quoted. Quite right too.... we are living in EXCEPTI...
