<r>I know I have seen the buildings with "Blewetts Bakery " on them as I drive past Lemon Quay and seen the shop outside the cathedral. Winnie Hodge who I am told worked there all her life was an ancestor of mine. Mind, she was born well over 100 years ago!!!! so I doubt you knew her <E>:lol:</E> </r>

Hi... I have recently found out that a distant relative founded Blewetts Bakery in Truro, I would love to hear if anyone has any info or memories of the bakery. All I know is that they have been bought out by Warrens

Hi there, well I was born in Redruth many years ago (nearly 50years ago :roll: ) at the Redruth Womens hospital. I believe it is no longer standing but I am not sure. :)

I merley meant to convey the fact that I could not understand the previous message, in Cornish. It was in no way putting down the act of posting in Cornish only that a translation would be useful.

This seems to me a very helpful and positive idea. Proving that we can work in these groups to forward our cause. In my experience its often easier to fight or change a system from within.
So who will be putting themselves forward, or are you all already there?
