Re: Census forms survey

Be honest with you, Trevorpen seems very mild and no probs compared with the TIC brigade: Taxman100 (ex army type England forver) youngcornwall, Slimslad, expld, Trevorrow, Big Ger. Christ above, if they ever come here there would be ructions!!!! Some of them did..................... They don't any...

Re: Cornwall Council strapped for cash? Tell it to the Mari

How's this for Cornwall Council lunacy running totally rampant? Photos were taken yesterday of Council workers watering hanging baskets in Newquay - in the torrential rain that lasted all day! Not to mention the fact that it's done sod-all but piss down for the last 2 months..... Now come on Marhak...

Re: Best place for history/heritage discussion?

HI 3cornishchoughs, obviously C24 is a good place to raise and discuss such issues. http://www.cornwall24.co.uk/language-culture/ for language and history issues. http://www.cornwall24.co.uk/discussion/ for general topics related to Kernow. Or any of the other boards provided on this site. There are...

Re: Blood Banner season

There is a pastime in which 2 teams of 11 "men" take to, an otherwise perfectly green, field. Taking opposite sides of said field, each team attempts to get a spherical object into a net on the other side of said field. The reason why they do this escapes me, it serves no useful purpose, one can onl...

I thought he/she said he/she was coming to Cornwall, not some "county" you would find over the border in England.

Even the Mail's running the story. That's three nationals it's been in up to now. I'm waiting for Radio "Cornwall" and the Northcliffe local papers to start claiming that the report had to say this as a nod to one of the Oxford lab technicians.......................... http://www.thisiscornwall.co....

Don't know about the pubs, (best avoided like the plague when any sporting event is on) but I would not have said that the roads were overly quiet, which roads are you referring too?

Re: This is Cornwall

Stay posting there, the site needs to have both sides of the argument clearly stated so that those who just read the site are able to reach educated opinions of their own. Without the Cornish perspective being posted, all they will see is the racist one sided view that the WASPs wish to foist on ev...

Re: This is Cornwall

I only asked for his comments containing personal abuse towards me to be removed I think that proves my point. Oh, and H_Trevorrow, nice of you to pop around and have a read. But, please do not attempt to misrepresent what is actually posted. I did not get anyone banned from TIC, they got themselve...

Re: This is Cornwall

Crowsanwra, those with whom you are having "interesting" debate with over on "This Isn't Cornwall" are well known for their hate of anything that could, even remotely, be classed as Cornish Nationalist. Mostly, they are the same few misguided individuals who caused so much trouble on the old This Is...

Re: Diamond Jubilee

Good job that they haven't latched onto the fact that it's also Duke Charles's Diamond Jubilee, as Ruler of Cornwall. And back to the point of the original post:- Are we missing a golden opportunity here? As much as as it seems to be the consensus here that Noddy's mate is not, shall we say, ideal,...

Re: Diamond Jubilee

The other thing about this whole mass "celebration" thing is what is it that is being "celebrated? The Queen "ascended" the throne immediately following the death of George VI, on 06/02/52. Lizzie's coronation was 02/06/53. So, what is it that "we" are all celebrating in June 2012? Is the celebratio...
