I would enjoy learning a few words which I could use in Wales and Brittany too where there are more people likely to understand me than in Kernow itself (at least for the time being) but I'm not about to learn one that will be obselete in a year or so.

Meh, has never grabbed me with anything remotely approaching interest, but then I'm not a fan of old stuff generally.

Still, to each their own, I just wish I wasn't force fed quite so much of it at school.

Wouldn't the British isles also include the Scillys and the Channel islands?

I can't remeber. 'Mainland' sounds better to me in terms of neutrality, but a bit lame from a marketing perspective.
