<t>main thing that annoys me about this is all those things suggested on CC website all cost FAR more than "modern" alternatives.  They want you to do it but you don't get any help towards the extra expense.  I think they'd actually rather see properties go to rat sh*t than be maintained in a modern...

well with a bit of luck I might be ready to test Cornwall Council on sticking solar panels up in a conservation area.  The plan is to have an Oil system boiler and a wood burner with a back boiler heating a thermal store and then link in panels to the thermal store as well (hopefully)

I used to post on here quite a bit, but, like many got fed up with reading all the sh*te that certain members post, its quite frankly an embarrassment and doesn't do the Cornish cause any favours.  Sad thing is they can't see that.

Hmmmm I wonder if their planning department will let me put up solar panels in a conservation area?  As they're so keen on reducing carbon footprints.  We'll have to wait and see!
