Re: How do I say congratulations?

That's brilliant GanO...thank you ever so much!

Can I just check what that translates to? I can see congratulations (Keslowena) and happy (lowen)...but after that I'm stuck!

Re: What Direction Now For MK ?

I would say the political points are almost secondary to what I see/hear in that MK are not taken seriously, and until MK are able to dispel this, they'll never be a viable option. We need to make people feel proud to be Cornish again rather than cowering in a corner and avoiding ridicule by voting ...

How do I say congratulations?

Well...a bit more than that!

How would I congratulate someone on the birth of their baby girl Kitty in Cornish?

Re: Keep Cornwall Whole - London

Although this seems obvious...how about London-Cornish rugby team? They can't be that hard to get hold of and no doubt need a bit of press coverage! Then there's the London-Cornish association...

not that I know much about either of them

from the Hanterhir camp we wish you all the best Mike...I believe our bassplayer will be joining you (if he doesn't get lost...we generally don't venture further north than St Austell)

Re: Can I just check? "hemm nyns yw pow sawsen"

This is fantastic...I knew there was some form of education to be had on the internet!!! Marhaks way of translating to "Not is England, this land" is what I personally feel Cornish translation lacks at the moment as you're either tied in to trying to understand all the forms of words or just blindly...

Re: Can I just check? "hemm nyns yw pow sawsen"

An this is what I'm trying say about learning Cornish. It's stunning that I can check with people though...so thanks Palores and Marhak. Is it possible to bother you both for the literal translation or do they both come out as "this is not England"? I've been told often that sentences/statements cou...

Yea indeed, is very good.

Ah really! No James isn't in the band anymore, it's Craig Broad that plays the bass for The Truths now!

Ah...cool...Craigs a good old boy, I've been told he's a great bassist as well, although I've never seen him play live...

Re: Local Cornish Band

Kasabian...they're similar...

I'm glad the boys are doing well, haven't seen them in a long time though...not since the Green Room three or four years back. Is James still in the band? One of my old bands used to play with his older band years ago...lovely chap!

Re: Labour or MK

My opinion of Labour is simply that (alongside the Torys and Lib Dems) that they are all self serving liars and braggarts, they have very little interest in anything regional unless it ticks one of their party boxes. To go with either of these three parties is to sell Cornwall down the river. But u...

Re: I'm a blatant self publicist

I feel that you owe us a song about the third person singular present subjunctive..just to set the record straight after years of sorry neglect of such a vital piece of our culture. How could Redruth do this to its scholars?! I can try, that's all I can say! But this is all a learning curve for me....
