Ah, thanks, TK. I'd forgotten that the Mediaeval Baebes had been posted on this thread before. These 2 Dickson tracks - it's easy to hear why I've wanted a 'tron for so long. It can be beautiful, ethereal, sinister, haunting, harsh, or powerful in ways no other instrument can achieve. Hence its comeback. People realised that synths couldn't do what the mellotron can. Now, they're reliable when they used to dive out of tune at the slightest excuse. Bob Fripp once said that "Tuning a Mellotron doesn't". Those days have gone. In Stroke 2 (can't do a hash), the jaw-dropping power chord with choir/strings at 2.52 is just awesome. The only other instrument on which a particular chord can produce such a listener reaction is a full-out cathedral organ. Can't wait to get my paws on it!

Roger reprise - Truro schoolboy done good - driving it all along...

A stirring song for Cornwall and Cornwall's Future!
'We've got freaks to the left,
We've got jokers to the right...'

At C24 we know/they know who they are...

An Daras have recently released a CD of Cornish language songs by the late Brian Webb and a CD with some Cornish language songs and Cornish favourites by the late John Bolitho. Great stuff.

I see Pete Berryman has been mentioned - the Cornish Django Rheinhardt. Great player. He was with Ralph McTell and the Famous Jug Band and composed some of their stuff.

Graham Sandercock and James Hawken did at least two CDs of Cornish language songs. Sandercock's lyrics stand by themselves as poetry. 'Dagrow Sygh yn Afrika' - about drought and famine in the Sahel - is guaranteed to stir the emotions. But there are lots of great songs here.

And let's not forget all our Cornish brass bands and Cornish choirs - plenty of CDs there!

Thank you Mike and Craig for your kind comments, but this beautiful arrangement and power blows my version away IMHO.

Yes, I think you're right Mike that it's Holman's Mail Voice Choir. As soon as I'm sure, I put up the Credits. Glad you like the pics.
