Yes I have set up accounts on both. I note the link is now not working but it was. That's not the only thing that's happened either. More on that later.....

Graham, is there any promotional material, posters, car stickers etc?
Some stuff to download would be a good idea, and would carry little or no cost to the campaign itself.
It would also help maintain momentum. :)

I've had someone on the case for about a week now Paddy. I was thinking, I'll have to shake him up.

You need some media attention grabbing stunts and events as well.

I have had an offer of £200 to create car stickers, posters etc. Downloadable stuff is really all that's required. Should be sorted by the end of next week.

Football mid August. Rugby end of August.

A week last Thursday, my computer was hacked. Amongst other folders, all my pledges were removed. I thought my PC glitched but my wife's laptop also had Outlook Express files deleted to her recycle bin, which proves contamination beyond any doubt as there is no way this could have happened. She wouldn't no how to make an error; and both of us on the same evening ? I don't think so. The pledge link on the CK website was also disabled. Luckily, all my files were backed up except for one of £25, which I think I know where it came from, so It's cost me a little time but that's all.

The reason I mention this is because should anyone on this board doubt the power of this campaign , the EIS certainly know better. As I've said, they're very worried that this will create the critical mass so they have every right to be.

From my view it is very clear, but for whatever reason the vast majority who are of a strong political persuasion, fail miserably in understanding the power of Sport and generally speaking visa-versa. My signature says it all and I think we can all agree the this man knew what he was talking about. I can only ask all true Cornish men and woman to make a pledge and trust in John Kirkhope's and CK's judgement.

Car stickers, Posters and Pledge forms are all in progress and will be available asap to those that are interested in promoting the cause.

Please pledge whether it's personal or from an organisation. From £5 to a £1,000 or upwards, we are very grateful. They will all be held in the strictest of confidence unless otherwise requested. New initiatives are being followed constantly to make sure we all succeed. Our kids and their unborn children's sporting opportunities are at stake.

Sorry to hear about that Graham, you should make as much of a noise to the press about this as possible!

There's something else I have to address as well Ellery. I should know more about it tomorrow and will post accordingly.

After ironing out a few initial mistakes, CK is reasonably happy with the state of play after a month of proper campaigning. The target of £10,000 by the end of the month, is shy by just over £1600, which is pretty good, though the target should have easily been reached if members here had shown compassion for a cause that is for their children of today and for the future generations of Cornish; so a big THANK YOU to those who have donated or pledged whatever the amount, and a big F*CK YOU to all 'keyboard warriors' who haven't. Now its on to the next stage. There are many businesses and people to see.

Car stickers, posters and pledge forms will be available some time next week. We have 1,000 car stickers, and as many pledge forms/posters as is necessary. The stickers were sponsored by that great Cornishman, Roger Curnow of Penzance and it's important that we use them wisely. They need to be spread evenly across the whole of the Duchy and to people we know for certain will display them. We cannot afford to lose one. Other than the web, there will be no other way to publicise CK. Last week I did an interview with Pirate FM. It was picked up by an excited freelance journalist who thought she had a great story. It hasn't gone out as yet and I'm not expecting it to happen. The Editor has probably seen it and binned it, so no change there.

If you've pledged, I'll email you as soon as they arrive.
Thanks.

I believe respected Solicitor and Notary Public Mr.John Kirkhope who will act on our behalf, was a strong influence in getting our language recognised. For such a respected figure and for a case which will get our Cornish ethnicity official recognition, I’m surprised we haven’t got £50,000 thus far.

Someone said Cornwall24 had over 1000 subscribers? If 1000 of ‘em were to pledge £40.00 each we’d be there or damn near.

Surely people who do not make a pledge means Graham's statement is correct? That 1000 subscribers are made up of ‘Keyboard Warriors’ who are prepared to let their Cornish ethnicity continue to be legally recognised as being ‘English’. Will the 1000 make some sacrifices and donate 40 quid or continue tapping the keyboard with their superior knowledge of all things Cornish but actually do.........................nothing.

We’ll see and wait for the pledges to build. But don’t wait too long – we don’t have the luxury of ‘dreckly’ for Campaign Kernow!

I am not sure where that snippet came from but I suspect that it cannot be source referenced.

Recognition of the language was purely down to the consistent and focussed aspirations of the Cornish language movement. The only external 'strong influence' to my knowledge was the Government-commissioned report of the state of the language carried out by Prof Ken MacKinnon.
