Not just Happy New Year - Happy New Decade!
The second decade of the 21st Century starting on the first micro-part of the first second of 01.01.2011.
Those less keen on our sense of time being foreshortened, distorted, marked and blemished by the demise of a Middle Eastern guy nailed to some sticks a short while ago may prefer to frame their chronology within Earth time since inception around 4,500,000,000 years ago - making this the second decade of the 45,000,021st Century (ish) starting on the first micro-part of the the first second of 01.01.4,500,002,011.

Unless, of course, you're one of the strange religious nuts that believe the creation occurred in 4004BC!!! (Yep, these guys still exist, along with the flat-earth, virgin birth and tooth fairy believers).
