The Seattle Times has this list of amusing names from the Cornish Record Office, going back to around 1600. I think that "Faithful C*ck" is my favourite! (Had to mis-spell it thanks to C24's rudeness filter...shame that a good old Cornish name like C*ck (from the Cornish word for a fishing boat) should be blocked.)
