Hi from New Zealand.
I have recenlty discovered that my father was born at Brook Cottage, Zennor. that was in april 1897. His father ,(my grandfather was a Farmer)

I have found that in 1999 it was still standing , well shown on a map just south of Bosporthennis.

I also think it is near some early stone arragement.

Can anyone help me. I would really appreciate a photo odf the building if that were at all possible or even confirmation that it still stands.

Many thanks in anticiption

I would love to come visit maybe end of next year.

This is a photo of Zennor Quoit, which may be the "early stone arragement"?

But apart from that I cannot help.

Our family came from this part of Cornwall at a similar time. You might find this book interesting if you can track it down!

It's the diary of James Stevens who farmed in that area and mention is made of many local farms and people.

This link is to my family of that era..

Although this is not the picture you requested, you may find the information on the site of interest. It contains Church Records which are searchable by surname.

You may find out even more of your family's history in the area.

Many thanks Hen. The records show a lot of information that I had not found before. One kind person (Karl) has ventured out and taken two photos for me. It was such a pleasant surprise for New Years day.
