Hi lovely people, could someone PLEASE help me. Trying to track down a football / sports writer for local papers by the name of Chris someone. Surname, background and any contact details appreciated. A quick look through your local paper should give me the info I need. Many thanks.

Why don't you send an email to the paper you believe he writes for and try and contact him that way?

I would imagine it would be more fruitful for you.

Hi, yes I did think of that but I didn't want to bother them with something so trivial when their response would probably be go out and buy our paper!

Would it be Chris Errington, the Plymouth Evening Herald's Argyle writer?

Alas, it is not Mr Errington. I saw the picture on the online news site and it's not him. Thank you for the effort though. Maybe he's a freelancer. Tried to contact the papers by email but they obviously think I'm a nutter / stalker and out of 4 papers not one replied!
