Well nothing really, thanks for the detailed response ;)

I was wondering if it had a yob element ? or areas to avoid ?

Being a teenager - Perranporth is not known as a hotspot. Avoid nearby Camborne and Redruth at night lol. And don't leave your car overnight there either. Apart from the night aspect - those two towns are nice.

Down the road is Hayle/Gwithian - which is a BIG surfing hotspot. 3 miles of beach, an estuary, and lots of nice waves!

Just came back from Perranporth and we had a really nice time, we found the local people very friendly and helpful, I myself found out that the 'locals' see themselves as Cornish not english.

A Captain of a boat in Newquay gave us a mackerel trip and was so passionate about his anti-englishness
