Does anyone have the lyrics to a song called , I think, "The Countryman" by the Cornish comedian Jethro?

Would you care to post them here for me? Many thanks.

Oh, and if it's not called "the Countryman", what the hell is it called?

how could you not like Jethro? You East Kernewek are a strange lot!!

And proud of it...bydh war, den a'n howlsedhes! Crudity isn't funny unless it's done well, and sparingly. A constant barrage is tedious and boring, same as swearing.

AndyQ, did I say he was racist? You can count me out of the majority if you are right about your supposition, I prefer clever humour (Steven Fry), incisive humour (Absolute Power), off-beat humour (Paul Merton, Spike Milligan (Kosk Yn Kres), League of Gentlemen), groaningly bad puns etc. Endless swearing is tedious and unfunny and makes me assume the person isn't intelligent enough to learn more than a few 4-letter adjectives.

Yes you're your a little confused Ian.

Back on the subject of songs: I don't think the Countryman is a Jethro song it's the pub he spends a lot of his time in up Piece (towards Four Lanes)!!

I'm pretty sure it's a Jethro song?

They used to play it on the Sunday morning show on radio Cornwall.

Ah well, a lost cause I believe..
