Basically all the post relateing to these issues are obscuring the primary nature of this board i.e. CORNWALL

Then why have a forum entitled "The rest of the world"? :D

I think the "Rest of the world" is a asset rather than a liability. There's only so much milage in debating Cornish independance and the ned for a ASSembley.

I use www.cybersoapbox.com Diane, but I think it may not be to your liking, as it is heavily US-centric, and there is a policy of no bannings and no deletions there, so debate gets rather heated and profanity and the use of the venacular abounds. There is quite good religious debate amongst the orts and leavings there, but again, there is also a "take no prisoners" approach to argument, so I don't think someone of delicate sensibilities should bother :D

It's not that i have delicate sensibilities it's just that i don't get off on abuse, physical, verbal or written.

I was addressing that to Diane, Fulub. I think you would rather enjoy the debate there, as you are a skilled debater, and more than able to hold your own in the rough and tumble. Diane, and this may sound awfully sexist, is a more refined and ladylike poster.

I know that but it was written in a public place open for response.

My point is what i have tried to express in the past on various occasions about debates that had the potential to be very positive but unfortunately just became a platform for abuse due to thoughtless or malicious comments.

I think not, like i said i don't like abuse i saw too much of it in my last job and i know how destructive it is.

In relation to this thread abuse, disrespect and violence have created and influenced two identities now that will have internal mountains to overcome before peace can be achieved.

Just give peace a chance, maaaan! (said with slight punk snarl)
