I was sorry to hear that Robin Cook died today at such a young age. As an outspoken critic of the government's foreign policy he was prepared to and did resigned over Blair's decision to invade Iraq.

Politics is a high pressure bussiness at the top.
Although i did not agree wth him on everything (i being an SNP member) i did have respect for him long before Labour came to power.

Same here. I admired his steadfastness in his beliefs even if I did not agree with them. And he had the courage of his convictions to opporse the war, unlike many of the lickspittles in Bliars government.

Agree with all and a great pity he hadn't left the Blair Government and joined the SNP
