Humans and chimpanzees are nearly 99 percent identical in their important genes, separating from a common ancestor only six million years ago.

The bible-punchers will go bananas!

Probably not actually, they will just quietly ignore it, as they do with other advances in evolutionary understanding.
Theirs has been a decreasing minority view since the days of Darwin.

We would still be expected to belive that Heaven is up among the stars were it not for advances in astronomy/cosmology.

Basically there's not a lot of difference between us and probably 99.9% of any organism on this planet......... so think about that next time you crunch your teeth down onto a lettuce or try and kick the cat at the end of a frustrating day.

Everyone is trying to get to the bar.
The name of the bar, the bar is called Heaven.
The band in Heaven plays my favorite song.
They play it once again, they play it all night long.

Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens.
Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens.

There is a party, everyone is there.
Everyone will leave at exactly the same time.
Its hard to imagine that nothing at all
could be so exciting, and so much fun.

Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens.
Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens.

When this kiss is over it will start again.
It will not be any different, it will be exactly
the same.
It's hard to imagine that nothing at all
could be so exciting, could be so much fun.

Heaven is a place where nothing every happens.
Heaven is a place where nothing every happens.

Large amounts of DNA are so-called 'junk' DNA, which don't actually code for characteristics, but are there for reasons which are largely not yet understood. It is quite possible, therefore, to share a lot of identical DNA with another creature, but when the differences are in the coding areas, the two creatures can be quite different. We share some DNA with chickens, sea urchins, and probably every other living animal, so this isn't really news. The important thing to study is where the differences in the DNA are.
