The finding that the climate has warmed in recent decades and that human activities are already contributing adversely to global climate change has been endorsed by EVERY national science academy that has issued a statement on climate change, including the science academies of ALL of the major industrialized countries. With the release of the revised statement by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists in 2007, NO remaining scientific society is known to reject the basic findings of human influence on recent climate change. What a lot of loonies, hey , Shiner.:lol::lol::lol:

I have taken the time to investigate Shiner's claims on five separate occasions and each time I find that the scientific community see no merit in the arguments put forward. That is why I have accumulated some of them in Shiner's special place, where anyone can see just how wrong he was on each of those occasions.Once you have done that a few, it becomes a little tiresome.Every one of his arguments and sources is more or less a direct copy of the latest scam from one of the deniers website, which are obviously anything but objective. They follow one or more of these rules:1. Quote only what favours the deniers position, cut out anything that disagrees with that position.2. Plug nobodys, that wish to make a name for themselves, out of obscurity and exaggerate their importance and credentials.3. Smear perfectly respectable scientists with rumours with no backing in facts4. If any errors or omissions are discovered, exaggerate them out of all proportion and claim that the particular error destroys the whole case, even though the error has no significant effect on the case as a whole.5 Continually claim that science, which is backed EVERY single science academy in the whole world, is a hoax/ untrue/ or discredited. It would be laughable if it wasn't so sad.

Shinerism no 5:You didn't have much to say about this Paul..The True Cost of Electricity from Wind is Always Underestimated and its Value Always Overestimated

---------------------------------------------------

Since you insist, I looked it up.The report is published by The Science and Public Policy Institute (SPPI). The Science and Public Policy Institute (SPPI)is a think tank based in the U.S. which promotes the views of global warming sceptics. - Yet again confirming that Shiners reports are anything but unbiased. The SPPI claims to be free from affiliation from any corporation. However, its President Robert Ferguson heads the Center for Science and Public Policy (CSPP) which receives funding from oil company Exxon Mobil. According to its website, the CSPP is a project of Frontiers of Freedom, a right wing think tank with principles based on individual freedom, free enterprise and a limited government. The Frontiers of Freedom have received a staggering $1,037,000 from ExxonMobil. The CSPP is a think tank working to dismiss the issues of global warming by a deliberate campaign of deception:Former Boston Globe reporter Ross Gelbspan (who in 1997 wrote the book, The Heat is On, which details industry efforts to discredit climate change science), says the "conclusions that greenhouse gases are causing the planet to heat up are the result of the "most rigorously peer-reviewed scientific collaboration in history". He continues, "The contradictory statements of a tiny handful of discredited scientists, funded by big coal and big oil, represent a deliberate -- and extremely reckless -- campaign of deception and disinformation."Climate Institute President John Topping shed further light on the situation: 'By relying on the news media's inclination to include both sides of a story, the industries were able to create the impression that scientists were deeply divided over climate change' adding that "It was all very shrewdly done,". 'Climate change is about science, but not just about science. It's about business and politics and wielding influence. There is concern amongst climate experts that 'sceptics will delay action on climate change for another decade, using the same tools of hired guns and questionable scientific evidence as the tobacco industry wielded to deny cancer links in the 1970s and 1980s'. SPPI's Chief Scientific Advisor, Willie Soon, has clear corporate connections with the energy industry. Finacial support included: American Petroleum Institute, the trade association of the world's largest oil companies, the coal industry and have received support from the ExxonMobil Foundation and ExxonMobil Corp, receiving $715,000 in funding from Exxon Mobil alone. And it just goes on and on. There are many pages of these facts eventhough SPPI is trying to keep its funding secret.Any publication coming from a biased organisation like this is not worth the paper ...Forget it Shiner, yet more smear sponsored by coal and oil.

"Forget it Shiner, yet more smear sponsored by coal and oil."
Can you balance your response up by quoting just how much money has been invested in promoting AGW/CC?
Until you do that, you're just arguing one opinion against the other.
I've already posted a rough total that the oil industry has invested, kindly do the same.

Otherwise you're argument has no merit other than saying a small amount has been paid to sceptics to push one side of the debate while a huge amount has been invested to promote the other.

Remember this Paul, the argument for climate change is supposed to have science 100% on its side - so why is it spending billions on propaganda?
Surely settled science should be enough?
It seems not.
Your above points are therefore pointless.

Shiner says:

"It's a $55 TRILLION carbon trading ponzi scheme with a history that goes right back to the events of the 11th September 2001: involves Bush, Clinton, Canadian military, Blair, Brown and even Ed balls and his dodgy wife to name but a few.

The main problem that the ponzi schemers are having is trying to get the science to fit the agenda – they're not doing too well so far. Not unless you think its cool to source your scientific claims from mountaineering magazines and student dissertations. No other so called scientific claim has ever, in the history of science, come up against so much resistance from the scientific community. Apart from maybe those who claimed the Earth was not flat, or the the Sun didn't revolve around the Earth."Oh dear, so everyone is in on the conspiracy. Every single government, every single scientific institution, tens of thousands of scientists, even mountaineering magazines. All that remains between us and oblivion is Shiner and his merry band of renegade scientist, denier's websites and hangers on, such I identified in one of the many of Shiners contributions.Every single Shinersim I have so far taken time to examine has turned out to be either rubbish or a half truth. Shiner just copies articles appearing on deniers websites without any attempt at verification. This is what happens when you are guided by belief rather than reason.

"I always find it strange why people get so involved in the anti-climate change camp."

Most sceptics are at home, watching a climate change camp being constructed around them.
So many people's bullshit detectors are going off over climate change, the internet is rife with it all.

Some see happy planet fixers, some see criminal cartels.
