CPT QUERIED ON 2007 REPORT INTO SPANISH POLICE AND PRISONS

With the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture due to carry out an examination of police stations, prisons and detention facilities in Spain this year the Celtic League has asked why the organisations report on its last visit has not been published

"Secretariat of the CPT
(Mr Hugh Chetwynd Head of Division)

France

Dear Sir,

I note that as part of its programme of periodic visits for 2011 the CPT is due to visit Spain.

The Committee last carried out an examination of facilities in that country in September 2007 however no report on the conclusions of that visit is included on the CPT website.

Can I ask if a report has been published and if not why?

Yours sincerely,

J B Moffatt (Mr)
Celtic League
Director of Information"
