Breton Embassies

Post by Fulub-le-Breton » Sun Jun 12, 2011 7:58 pm

A few Bretons are trying to set up an alternative network of Breton Embassies.

Ambassade de Bretagne: http://www.ambassadedebretagne.com/

The Embassy of Brittany in Great Britain: http://www.kannadbreizh.co.uk/

Anyone interested in opening the Embassy of Brittany in the Duchy of Cornwall?

What a great idea! Ideally it would need speakers of Breton and there are a few of those in Cornwall. If anyone can accommodate this, perhaps we can have a Cornish Embassy in Brittany. That would put two cats among the pigeons in Paris and London.

Such a ridiculous idea! .... and pray whom would pay for this - the county taxpayers of Cornwall?

Who pays for other private organisations and groups? These embassies clearly wouldn't be able to function like a state sponsored ones but an interesting network of volunteers could still be created to help fellow Bretons (or Cornish folk) around the world. I see some companies are interested in sponsoring the Breton embassies as well.

They already have embassies: They're called The British Embassy and French Embassy.

Brittany at a glance:
That's 5 administrative departments:
- Finistère (Penn ar Bed)
- Côtes d'Armor (Aodoù year arvor)
- Morbihan (Mor Bihan)
- Ille et Vilaine (Ill. gwilen ha)
- Loire Atlantique (Liger Atlantel)

It is also historic 9 countries (broioù):
- 1: Leon (Leon)
- 2: Cornwall (Kern)
- 3: Trégor (Treger)
- 4: Country of Vannes (Bro Weneda)
- 5: Pays de Saint-Brieuc (Bro-Sant Brieg)
- 6: Pays de Saint-Malo (Sant-Malou Bro)
- 7: Pays Nantais (Bro Naoned)
- 8: Country Rennais (Bro Roazhon)
- 9: Pays de Dol (Bro Zol)

2: Cornwall (Kern)?

Part of Brittany?

Really?

Yes, there's a Cornwall in Brittany just like there's a New England in America.

As with all things Cornish, Cormoron, you might like to expand your knowledge a little further, regards other Celtic nations...

Yes, nations. Do you have some problem with understanding English... or history?
Maybe Wiki isn't giving the div all the info he needs to not be a clown shoe!
