Evidently, Carrek, our Tybm is talking to or about Nicholas. I can never tell, actually. It's interesting. I can pick a paragraph at random from Enys Tresour and even if I don't know all the words in it, the gist of the paragraph is clear and it's easy to read (and to read out loud) and it sounds like Cornish.

None of Tybm's pithy little gems read like Cornish. They have Cornish words in them. Some are attested. Some are made up. But they just don't make sense. Perhaps they parse perfectly according to some Brythonized neo-Kornish rules. But they certainly don't give one the impression that Tybm's read any of the texts.

I think that Jordan and Tregear could have read Enys Tresour and understood it easily. I don't think they would fare very well better at parsing Tybm though.

I think it's safe to say that we don't need to wait any years to see if Tybm's attempts at Cornish will have any influence on the use of the language. On the other hand, we often hear "ow tochya" + noun now rather than *"yn kever" + noun, which shows that Nicholas has been having an influence on the language since 1995.

Touching the verses of Mr Saunders, in very truth their semblance is not like unto the semblance of the preaching of our learned clerks in former time.
