Na An Bibel Sans yn Kernewek (Not The Holy Bible in Cornish)

Post by Keeley » Fri Jul 29, 2011 9:27 pm

This is from the MAGA newsletter:
"Barry, eat your heart out!
There is an excellent example of students engaging with the idea of a virtual Kernewegva on Youtube. Gary, Anna, Caroline and Andy, from the London Cornish class, wrote a song titled ‘Baramanynnow’ (Sandwiches) after hearing their teacher, Tony Hak, say the word – but mishearing it as ‘Barry Manilow’. They have only been learning for a year, but they wrote the song without help, and Tony is very proud of them.
You can watch the video at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NjBfWRfnfs
Tony hopes that this will encourage other students to do things towards creating a virtual Kernewegva.""

These are the beginners in our class and I'm proud of them too. Make sure you watch this video. It's a scream and you can open up the words under the video and sing along too. Karaoke Kernewek!
Not the Holy Bible, but Cornish alive and kicking. Kernewek bys vykken.
