Hi Diane
There is a formal process taking place as part of the Cornish Language Strategy which was adopted by all language groups and is being led by the County Council. As we do not have a legislative body 'forcing' one version or not of Cornish then progress is going to have to be made with consensus and working together from many sides as part of that process a steering committee with appropriate representation has been set up and they have the remit to begin to implement the strategy. The first task has been to appoint a Cornish Language Officer and that process is now underway. Their job description (available on the CC site) gives some idea of the enormity of the role and they will obviously be involved in helping to move to the agreement of a usable standard. Inevitably this is going to be a long process and should have the support of all those who value the promotion of Cornish regardless of spelling.
